SOMETHING IS HAPPENING…. DRAINAGE WORKS WILL BEGIN SOON

The Department of Defence has recently engaged civil engineering contractors to construct upstream drainage works approved under a modification of the 2013 development consent. This is the first step in selling off the Haberfield Army Land.

These works must be completed by Defence contractors as part of the DA consent before subdivision. Defence is funding all works.

Defence contractors and civil engineering consultants will certify all of the previously undertaken works including downstream drainage works and roads and kerb and guttering prior to submission of a subdivision application.

The land will then be subdivided into 21 residential lots and Defence will sell the subdivided lots for development in line with current controls.

• 4 lots have already been sold

• 17 will be sold by the end of 2021

• 1 additional lot will be given to Council for care and control  

Works are anticipated to commence sometime in April/May following approval.

Development consent conditions require Defence to advise local residents of the works.
